Actions of the movie begin in 1952 in the small provincial small town of Enniscorthy located in the southeast of Ireland in which together with the family there lives young Eylish. Still without having found permanent job, it is compelled to work on days off in grocery store for the quarrelsome old woman. Suddenly received tragic news, force our heroine to return to Ireland where she meets other man – the modest young aristocrat Jim.
